Day 23 - Vienna, Austria - Bicycle Puzzle Packing

Joan's View

Tony did his bicycle puzzle packing, then starting weighing the bags and moving stuff around to get to the precise 50 lb maximum on the three checked bags. That went on until about 10:30 before we could head out to an all important bakery stop then do a little more exploring.

Interestingly, we were exploring Vienna on our first European bike trip exactly 7 years ago today. We saw many of the same sights from our last time in Vienna, but today we listened a Rick Steve's explanation to see what else we could learn.

Found this cool misting and water bottle filling station.

Also, found this great restaurant, 1516 Brewing Company, to eat a late lunch.

I'm looking forward to seeing these 9 cuties ( & a Nick thrown in there) 😃 soon:

Tony's Extras

It was an interesting day just walking around this beautiful city, one of my favorites when it comes to architecture. The Adolf Hitler story is still amazing to me. His dream was to become an artist in Vienna, but after seven years, he decided it wasn't for him. He then took a dramatically different path and ultimately became one of the cruelest people in human history.

Tomorrow marks the end of our adventure as we head back to the good ol' United States. Our Uber is scheduled for 7:00 a.m., and we've already lined up our premium transportation service, Wade, to pick us up at the Indianapolis airport. Unlike Vienna's Uber, this one accepts payment in stories, souvenirs, and perhaps a thank-you and we love you.
